This Induction Connection Kit comes with all the parts and fasteners needed to install between your engine and your Skytek aircraft cowl Naca scoop.

Installation instructions: Version 1 filter opening 2.5" dia. 

  1. ​See bottom  Version 2 if your filter opening is less than 2.5" dia.

Step 1:

​Slide a clamp onto the black tube about an inch. Push the metal tubing into the back tube. Then tighten the clamp up so that the metal tube stays in position 1/2 way.

​Then put the metal bracket/plate and a clamp onto your air filter. Then tighten the clamp closest to the air filter.

Step 2:

​Clamp the black hose with the air filter installed onto the air intake part of the engine

Step 3:

​Position the plate with the hose attached and orient the position for clearance between your engine, engine mount and any controls etc, remember you must have a smooth flow for the air travel, then drill and Install the A-Nuts supplied:

Step 4:

Now push your air filter into the air intake hole in your cowling and install using the supplied screws: note holes on left for anchor nut and air temperature sensor.

Version 2   Filter opening less than 2.5" dia.

Due to that fact that the 2.5" dia. opening filters are no longer available we have come up with this solution.

STEP 1

Clamp  adaptor to ring and drill #40 rivet holes.  Disassemble and deburr.

Step 2

Trim the filter wit a razor blade or knife as shown below.

Step 3

Place and mark for cutting a hole 2.5" dia in filter.  Move hole toward center of filter as much as possible. Welded flange not shown for clarity.  Cut hole.

Step 4 

​Rivet two items from step 1 together les two opposing holes.

Place on filter.  should be close to centered when viewed from filter side.

STEP5

Upsize the two rivet holes for screws.

Drill third hole for screw as well.

STEP 6

Disassemble and mark for reinstallation.  Deburr metal and remove all shavings.

Place some glue suitable for rubber and aluminum on surface before joining.

Fish nuts & washers through the hole for the two screws.

STEP 7

Attach hose to this assembly with hose clamp.
Pick up the outer holes on your intake scoop.  Upsize for anchor nuts. drill for rivets.  Deburr all holes.  Countersink and install anchor nuts.  Install holes for anchor nut and air temp sensor in scoop as shown in step 4 at the very top version 1 installation instructions.
