This high-flow optimized heat muff is for 912is/CH 750 exhaust (cabin heat). It is of all-welded construction and has a 2" inlet and outlets. The welded ends have large surface contacts for firm holding to the muffler. It is very quick to install and has two stainless steel band hose clamps, making it ideal for maintenance.

​It is specifically for 912ULS and 912is engine mufflers of 5.5" diameter.
Fits Rotax #978060 (912 ULS Exhaust) or other mufflers of 14cm/5.5" diameter.

It does not fit 87-2192 mufflers or Rotax 914is, 915is, or 916is engines.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 

STEP 1: 

Place the tab of one side of your heat muff into the other side as shown below. 

NOTE: There must be 3/32" gap (see hint at bottom of page) or else your heat muff will not tighten fully. 

STEP 2: 

Undo your worm gear clamps, then put them on the heat muff and tighten as shown below. 

HINT

Should your heat muff be loose on the muffler; trim your heat muff(s) with a die-grinder (or a file) to make sure that they form-fit as shown below. 
To reduce the chances of the clamp loosening off due to vibration, run a piece of lock-wire through the slot in the head of the screw and around the bottom of the barrel as shown below, twist to secure. 

WARNING

Be sure to remove your heat muff once/year to examine your muffler. 
Should there be any cracks or holes, the exhaust fumes will enter your heat muff and into the cabin.
