This kit has everything required to run the fuel return line from the return port on your Header Tank (SFS 10AK) to the firewall (cabin side).
Important Notice:
Complete the installation Instructions for SIFS 00K (Deluxe Fuel Selector Valve and Mounting Kit).
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
NOTE: The feed line will be cut in 3 pieces. The long one will be approximately 6'8", the medium one will be approximately 1', and the short one will be approximately 4". After step 3, you will cut the long feed line as needed.
STEP 2:
Using a wrench, attach your straight fitting (S8400604) onto your new Fuel Selector as shown below.
Then, put your worm gear clamp (MH5) onto your long feed line, attach it to your straight fitting (S8400604), and tighten it securely.
STEP 3:
Run the fuel line from the fuel valve to the Lh side of the fuselage, running the line just under the angle that the upper engine mount is bolted to. Then, continue aft under this angle to the hole at the front of the pilot's seat, and carry the line aft of the pilot's seat to the front side of the landing gear tunnel. You will need to drill a hole just above the landing gear tunnel so the fuel feed AND return line can reach the header tank and/or sump drain (this is for version 5 fuselages).
NOTE 1: When drilling, be sure you do not drill into the steel landing gear/strut attach fitting on the front side of the landing gear tunnel. For earlier version fuselages, drill your holes above the landing gear tunnel on the aft side. Ensure your holes are drilled inboard of the aft door post (the fuel lines (vent and feed) will be completely covered by the existing structure).
NOTE 2: The fuel lines (vent and feed) will be exposed from the aft side of the seat floor panel to the header tank and sump drain. You can cover the fuel lines over the landing gear tunnel with a fuel line protective cover kit (version 5). There is also a header tank closeout panel kit (version 5) to prevent cargo from getting caught in the fuel lines, as well as a similar kit for earlier versions.
NOTE 3: This route is only our recommendation. You may route these lines in another configuration if you wish.

At this point, cut your long line as needed (it should be approximately 6'8") and attach it to your Fuel Sump Drain.
STEP 4:
Now attach the straight fitting end onto the bottom of your Fuel Selector, shown below.
STEP 5:
Now, it is time to build the short Feed Line part of the Feed Line Kit. Take your short Feed line, about 4", and attach it to the top inlet on your Sump Drain using the included worm gear clamp.
NOTE: The other end will go into your Header Tank (SFS 10AK). The worm gear clamp for the Header Tank inlet is included in the Header Tank Assembly Kit.
